In 2018, Rene founded SLANG, to establish his vision of creating a cross functional music company while advising Influence Media Partners to acquire music IP at scale.
Prior to that, Rene founded RPM GRP and established himself as an independent visionary, creating at live event plarform: The Mixshow Power Summit.
Revolutionized the marketing strategies of the music industry and played an instrumental role in the development of some of pop music’s most vital and trend-setting artists:
Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Cam’ron, Kelis, Swizz Beatz

Rene’s marketing and strategic positioning led to these artists delivering the top performing projects of their careers, gaining both commercial success and critical acclaim.
- Debuted at number 27 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 93,600 copies, earning Kelis the best sales week of her career in the US and became her highest-peaking album in the UK, peaking at number 11 on the UK Albums Chart
- Was certified gold by the RIAA in the US and ARIA in Australia, as well as platinum by the BPI in the UK
- Featured her highest charting single to date, “Milkshake” which also gained her a Grammy nomination
- Grammy nominated
- His most commercially successful album to date, it peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 226,000 copies, reaching over 1 million copies sold in the US, and certified Platinum by the RIAA

- The group joined Madonna at Super Bowl XLVI during the Bridgestone Halftime Show to perform song “Music”, which contained mash-ups of two of their hits, “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy and I KnowIt”

Specifically, IMP is acquires a broad portfolio of music publishing and recorded music catalogs across genres, with an emphasis on assets that include global hits songs that are poised to be the “evergreen titles of tomorrow.” IMP is uniquely positioned to drive growth in acquired assets by leveraging its expertise in marrying content, brands, and live experiences.
Leveraging deep relationships with creators, Influence has thus far overseen the purchase of four catalogs.
